Horrible Hotel and Horrible Experience Live Right now

Worst hotel in Guangzhou. Period. Had my room changed twice. Major internet issues in all their rooms. Rooms are dated and so are the bathrooms. Compared to RMB 300 hotel rooms across the country, this hotel best fits this category now. It is the most horrible experience I have had in Guangzhou so far. I had to visit a local wholesale market close to the hotel and the front desk provided the wrong address which we gave to the driver who drove us around town until he got us to the right place but asked us to pay full fare when I refused he grabbed my phone and threatened my wife. He came out of the taxi to punch her and when I wanted to make a police complaint it didn't go down well with the hotel staff and instead they asked me to call 12345 and report the taxi to a number which is all in Chinese. The hotel didn't even have the decency to lodge the complaint in the guests behalf due to language issues and they just brushed off their hands on it. Horrible stay, harrowing experience by catching a cab from the hotel and hotel staff guiding us wrong by giving the wrong wholesale address and leaving us in great danger with an aggressive, bad attitude and violent driver. This thing does nor happen to anyone else, the hotel staff refuse to help into this matter The wifi is so so bad at this hotel, try to avoid this hotel as if you are staying to connect with clients overseas your wifi will be so unstable you will not be able to do anything about it. This is worse than a 2 star hotel. Even 7 days hotel and Paco hotel is better than this horrible, horrible hotel. Useless staff and nothing to brag about this hotel. It is really not worth 800 HKD. It is not even worth 300 HKD a night it is good for 150-200 HKD as that is their standard inside their room.I am there tonight and I have no choice and cannot change my hotel, but this hotel is off my list for life!! Bathroom doors don't close properly, toilet water does not flush down properly.Our one night stay is something we will never forget for the rest of our lives as the hotel left us a very, very bad taste in our mouth...

Enjoyed our 5-night stay at this hotel. Room was spacious and nicely furnished. Nice spacious bathroom with separate toilet. Reception staff were helpful and welcoming, especially Melody. Great location next to the Pearl River with easy access to many local shops at nearby Beijing Rd. Fantastic view from rooftop bar although drinks were quite pricey, most above RMB100 each. Will come back again.

When I arrived on Monday 11/13th, the whole evening was pretty quiet. Some nights the hotel’s bar played pretty loud music starts around 8:00, I had jet lag and were still able to sleep with earplugs on. The service was good. Breakfast is served to order and great quality food! I loved the huge nice room and big bathtub. Overall good value and nice stay.

About 10min walk from the nearest metro station. Otherwise location is good, located right in front of the waterfront. There are also multiple jogging tracks right outside the hotel. Room was very big and spacious. Amenities provided were fantastic too. Definitely worthy of a luxury hotel label. Bath bombs were also provided and the tub was extremely big, big enough for two people. Bed is also large and comfortable. Housekeeping comes every morning only, no turndown service. Breakfast is ala carte buffet, managed to try most items from the chinese menu and they were all of very good quality. Only downside is the price of their rooftop bar. One cocktail costs 100+ RMB.

An elegant hotel that is sparkling clean and dotted with elements showcasing the local Lingnan culture of people in South China. Our suite room was spacious and even included a large bathtub -- which was heavenly! The service staff were also very helpful and friendly and even provided my daughter with some fun Chinese New Year-themed activities to participate in! The hotel's restaurant and bar are also well worth praise. The tea restaurant on the ground floor served a brilliant custom breakfast when we visited a couple of weeks ago. Also, the rooftop bar (which offers stunning river views) was lively in the evening and had a great live band performing on stage. While some have complained in these reviews about noise from a nearby nightclub, this no longer seems to be an issue, as the venue has closed. Our sleep was sound, quiet and restful. Lastly, this hotel is ideally located near many of Guangzhou's older neighborhoods, making for easy adventures and culturally fascinating walks. I have been to Guangzhou many times, but this is now my top hotel choice when I next visit the city.
